A new travel credit card with great benefits means one incredibly important thing: More travel for you!
For months there have been rumors about a new “upgraded” version of the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card coming soon—and now we have confirmation that this new card is on its way! The Chase Sapphire Reserve card is set to go live sometime next week.
Here’s why we are excited about the Chase Sapphire Reserve (coming soon!)
- The Chase Sapphire Reserve signup bonus will be 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $4,000 within three months
- The Chase Sapphire Reserve will carry an annual fee of $450 (not waived for the first year)
- You will earn 3x points on travel and dining purchases worldwide
- The Chase Sapphire Reserve will have a $300 annual travel credit that can be applied towards any purchase coded as travel
- The Chase Sapphire Reserve will come with a Priority Pass Select membership
- The Chase Sapphire Reserve will come with a $100 Global Entry fee credit
- The Chase Sapphire Reserve is a Visa Infinite and will give you the benefits of that program including a $100 discount on roundtrip domestic airfare for two people
- Pointe earned through the Chase Sapphire Reserve will have a higher redemption value of 1.5 cents when you use them to purchase travel through the Ultimate Rewards Website (vs. 1.25 value for points earned from the Sapphire Preferred)
The Chase Sapphire Reserve card will also have the same standard benefits that have always made us love the Chase Sapphire Preferred card so much—no foreign transaction fees, primary rental car insurance, and other travel and purchase protections.
From what we can see so far, this new travel card is going to be HOT! While the annual fee is pricey, the travel credits and the value of the included travel benefits easily outweigh the expense… not to mention that huge 100,000 point sign up bonus. What amazing trip are you going to take with that?
We can’t wait! Stay tuned.
